Kamitsumichi clan

...An ancient Kibi clan. According to the legends in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, Harima Inahi no Omusume, who became the wife of Emperor Keikō and gave birth to Yamato Takeru, was from the same clan, and the daughter of Kibi Takehiko, who served alongside Yamato Takeru in the expedition to the Emishi, became Yamato Takeru's wife, and Kibi Takehiko's son Kamowake served Emperor Chūai in the subjugation of the Kumaso. It is said that the elder sister of Emperor Ojin's wife, Hime, and the wife of Emperor Nintoku, Kurohime, were also from the Kibi clan. Through these accounts, it is known that the Kibi clan was linked to the power of the great king by bringing women into the king's family, forming marriage ties with him, and participating in his military actions.
