[Influence on Japanese music]
The following are some of the joruri and jiuta works that incorporate "Shinju Ten no Amijima" or were created under its influence. An example of a jiuta that incorporates part of the Kawasho no Dan from the first volume is the Shigetafu mono "Kamiji" (also called "Kawasho"); a Miyazono-bushi piece that incorporates part of the Shigure Kotatsu no Dan from the middle volume is the "Koharu Jihei Kotatsu no Dan" (also called "Koharu" for short) from "Jyo no Niju Obi"; and between the middle and lower volumes is the Itchu-bushi piece "Koharu Kamui" (also called "Koharu" for short), in which hairdresser Otsuna gives her advice to Koharu who has decided to commit double suicide. The jiuta has also been adapted into a Shigetafu mono work, and is also called "Kamisuki" (Kamisuki)....
