Kamikoga-so

...At the beginning of the 12th century, the Kuga family had a villa, Kugasuikan, on this land, and at the end of the 12th century, Kuga-sho became the domain of Minamoto (Kuga) Michichika. It was later divided into Kami-Kuga-sho (Kuga-shinsho) and Shimokuga-sho (Kuga-honsho), and continued as the domain of the Kuga family until the end of the Sengoku period. There is an inspection book for Kami-Kuga-sho and Shimokuga-sho from 1396 (Oei 3), and an inspection book for Narutsugu-name, who is thought to be a lower-ranking official, from 1399, which shows that, including the mansion and groves, Kami-Kuga-sho covers over 104 cho, Shimokuga-sho covers over 50 cho, and Narutsugu-name covers over 12 cho. ...
