Bajau

...The Dan people of Hong Kong, the people who live in the areas from the Mergui Archipelago in the south of Myanmar to the Andaman Sea in southern Thailand, the Straits of Malacca, and the coastal areas of Indonesia, and who are generally called the Orang Laut (water people), are known as sea nomads. Among the latter, the Bajau people who live from North Borneo to the Sulu Islands of the Philippines and the southern coast of Mindanao are well known. In Japan, sea nomads called Ebune live in Nishisonogi County, Nagasaki Prefecture, and in various parts of the Seto Inland Sea.
