A riverbank in Uchikanda, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. It was here that large stones for the repair of Edo Castle were landed. It is said that this was named after the fact that many of the laborers and stonemasons were from Kamakura, and that stones brought from Kamakura were landed here. There used to be a brothel here. *Ukiyo- zoshi, Nihon Eitaigura (1688), vol. 3 "When Hashiya Jinbei and Kamakura Gashi could no longer hide, they were forced to face punishment."
