Born: November 3, 1904 in Peshawar, former British colony (now Pakistan) [Died] May 29, 1972 Indian actor, playwright and director. He founded the Prithvi Theatre Company in 1944. He toured extensively using Hindi, the official language of India, and contributed greatly to the development of modern Indian theatre.
