…Irritable bowel syndrome is also known as irritable bowel syndrome. It is a disease in which the intestines cannot adapt to emotional tension or stress, causing functional disorders such as intestinal tension, motility, and secretion, and is one of the so-called psychosomatic disorders.

In everyday life, it is used to describe situations such as not having a bowel movement for a long period of time (2 or 3 days or more), passing hard, dry stool, or feeling like there is still stool left due to insufficient defecation. The former occurs when the effective movement of the colon is reduced due to the influence of the autonomic nervous system, gastrointestinal hormones, etc., and the transport of contents is insufficient, while the latter occurs when the passage is obstructed by organic lesions such as tumors (cancer, etc.), inflammation, and the associated adhesions.
