Gapi Declaration - Gapi Sengen

...It was a unified body of political parties formed in Jakarta in May 1939, with seven organizations as members: Parindra, Gerindo (Indonesian People's Movement), Pasundan (Sundanese League), Minahasa League, Indonesian Islamic League Party, Indonesian Islamic Party, and Indonesian Catholic Party. Led by Aviksno from Indonesian Islamic League Party, Sharifuddin from Gerindo, and Thamrin from Parindra, in September of the same year, they issued the Gapi Declaration, whose main principle was to lead the Indonesian people to support the Netherlands, on the condition that the Netherlands would recognize the establishment of an Indonesian autonomous government. In May 1940, after Hitler occupied the Netherlands and established a government in exile in London, in October of the same year, they again declared their cooperation with the Netherlands on the condition that an autonomous government was established, but Gapi's demands were not accepted by the Netherlands until the end, and Gapi disappeared with the invasion of the Dutch East Indies by the Japanese army.

…1939年5月ジャカルタにおいて結成された諸政党の統一体で，パリンドラ，ゲリンド(インドネシア人民運動)，パスンダン(スンダ人連盟)，ミナハサ同盟，インドネシア･イスラム同盟党，インドネシア･イスラム党，インドネシア･カトリック党の7団体がこれに加盟した。インドネシア･イスラム同盟党出身のアビクスノ，ゲリンド出身のシャリフディン，パリンドラ出身のタムリンらが指導して，同年9月，オランダがインドネシア自治政府の成立を認めることを前提として，インドネシア人民をオランダ支持に向けて導くことを骨子とする〈ガピ宣言〉を発した。さらに40年5月にヒトラーがオランダを占領して亡命政権がロンドンに樹立された後の同年10月，再度自治政府の樹立を条件にオランダへの協力を宣言したが，ガピの要求は最後までオランダのいれるところとならず，ガピも日本軍のオランダ領東インドへの進攻とともに消滅した。…
