Born in 1583. The eldest son of Iio Sadatsura. In 1584, he became a magistrate in the Muromachi Shogunate, and served as magistrate of rewards and magistrate of public officials. 17 years ago, when a conflict arose between the magistrates who supported Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimasa and the servants who served Shogun Ashikaga Yoshihisa, he incurred Yoshihisa's anger and shaved his head and retired with over 40 magistrates. He was later pardoned and reinstated as a monk. He died on May 10, 1584. He was 62 years old. He was commonly known as Saemon-no-jo and Yamato-nyudo. His posthumous Buddhist name was Munekatsu.
