Kanoiwa

...In particular, the old Yamanashimura area in the west has reclaimed land on the south-facing foothills, where grapes are grown in greenhouses. There were two centers in the area: the Kanoiwa area, where Yamanashi Station on the Chuo Main Line is located, and the Kusakabe area, where government offices were located from the Meiji period onwards, but the two areas were merged under the new urban plan. In addition to wine brewing, factories for electrical appliances and precision equipment have also moved in.
