きん‐ざん【金山】

[1] 〘名〙① 金を産出する鉱山。金坑。※随筆・凌雨漫録(1804‐30頃か)「金山の堀口を鋪口ともいふ」 〔南史‐林巴国伝〕② 金でできているように堅固な小島。[2][一] 中国江蘇省鎮江市の西北、揚子江中にある小島。現在は土砂が堆積して南岸に続いている。江中・焦山と対峙する景観は有名。獲符山。チンシャン。[二] (Altan (金の意)に由来) 中央アジアから北東アジアにかけて伸びるアルタイ山脈の異称。

こん‐せん【金山】

(「こん」「せん」は、それぞれ「金」「山」の呉音) 仏語。[1] 〘名〙 仏の身を山にたとえた語。※三教指帰(797頃)下「曾成之道、始於八相、金山之体、坐於四康」[2] 須彌山(しゅみせん)の周囲にあるという七層の山。
