Gold stalk - Kanasashibe

...Looking at the traditions in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, examples such as Homuchibe = Prince Homutswake no Mikoto, son of Emperor Suinin, Itoshibe = Prince Itoshiwake no Omi, son of Emperor Suinin, Takerube = Prince Yamatotakeru no Mikoto, son of Emperor Keikō, Katsuragibe = Empress Iwanohime of Emperor Nintoku (from the Katsuragi clan), Karube = Prince Kinashikaru, son of Emperor Inryaku, Osakabe = Empress Osakaonakatsuhime, and Anahobe (Ko no Obe) = Prince Anaho, son of Emperor Inryaku. In the period that followed, records show that Hasebe = Emperor Yuryaku (Ohatsuse Wakatake, Hatsuse Asakura Palace), Shiragabe = Emperor Seinei (Shiragano Oyamatoneko), Magaribe = Emperor Ankan (Magari no Kanahashi Palace), Hinokumabe = Emperor Senka (Hinokuma no Ihorino Palace), Kanasashibe = Emperor Kinmei (Shikishima Kanasashi Palace), and Osadabe = Emperor Bidatsu (translated as Osada no Sakitama Palace), among others. From the Shinachi section onwards up to the Anaho section, it is believed that this refers to the so-called tomoku-ryo (feeding for bathing) that was provided to the palace by the empress as a mibu (wet father) for the upbringing of the princes and princes, and corresponds to the child-substitute period.
