…(2) 2nd Generation (1844-1916, Koka 1-Taisho 5) He first studied under Katsura Manko and took the name Nanko, then became a disciple of Tachikawa Sanko and took the name Mikisuke (Katsura Mikisuke), and later became a disciple of the first Katsura Bunshi and took the name Bunza for the second generation. At the age of 60, he handed the third name over to his disciple Katsura Kobunshi and changed his name to Katsura Bunzaemon. He retired in 1908 at the age of 65, and spent the rest of his life devoted to haiku and Shingaku under the pseudonym Watanabe Toshi. …
