Active fault topography

Japanese: 活断層地形 - かつだんそうちけい
Active fault topography

...is a type of landform in which faults are expressed in some form on the earth's surface. These include fault-textured landforms, in which selective erosion along a fault is manifested in the relief, and fault-displacement landforms or active fault landforms, in which the displacement of the earth's surface due to fault movement is manifested in the relief.
[Fault texture topography]
Along the fault, a certain width of fracture zone has developed due to the fault movement, and this area is less resistant to erosion than the surrounding areas.
