One-Eyed Jack - Hard Jack

In 1959, he founded Pennbaker Productions, named after his mother's middle name, and produced, directed, and starred in One-Eyed Jack (1961). It cost $6 million and over 1 million feet of film to complete the film, which was 4 hours and 42 minutes long (Paramount re-edited it to half the time, 2 hours and 21 minutes), and he was criticized for being arrogant as a star. He also drew criticism from the industry for his selfish performance in Battleship on the Bounty (1962), which resulted in a huge loss.
