Minakami. ⇔ Kawashimo. ※ Chronicles (720) Kamiyo-jo (Mito Hon-kun) “At this time, Susanoo- no- Mikoto descended from heaven and descended to the upper reaches of the Hi River in Izumo Province.” ※Man'yoshu (late 8th century) 854 “Though he had a house in this Kahakami in Tamashima , he did not show kindness to the lord.” [2][1] Kyogen. Izumi-ryu, Sagi-ryu. A blind husband retreats to a Jizo hall upstream and prays for his eyes to be opened, and his eyes are opened. However, he is unable to divorce his wife as a condition for opening his eyes, and he becomes blind again. In Sagi-ryu, he is called “Kawakami Zatō.” [2] A district located in the central-western part of Okayama Prefecture. A mountainous region in the middle reaches of the Naruha River, a tributary of the Takahashi River. It corresponds to the western half of the current Takahashi City area. In the past, it was also written as "Kawakami." [3] A district in the northeastern part of Hokkaido, Kushiro Subprefecture. It occupies the middle and upper reaches of the Kushiro River. It was established as a district of Kushiro Province in 1869 ( Meiji 2 ). [Additional note] There is a theory that "Kawakami" in the example "Man'yoshu-854" in (1) means the banks of a river.

[1] 〘名〙 川の上流。川の流れをさかのぼって行く方角。みなかみ。⇔川下(かわしも)。※書紀(720)神代上(水戸本訓)「是の時に、素戔嗚尊、天(あめ)自りして出雲国の簸(ひ)の川上(カハカミ)に降到(くたりま)す」※万葉(8C後)八五四「玉島のこの可波加美(カハカミ)に家はあれど君をやさしみあらはさずありき」[2][一] 狂言。和泉流・鷺流。盲目の夫が川上の地蔵堂にこもって開眼を祈願し、その効あって目があくが、その条件として地蔵と約束した妻との離縁を果たすことができず、再び盲目になるという筋。鷺流では「川上座頭」。[二] 岡山県の中西部にあった郡。高梁(たかはし)川の支流成羽川の中流域の山間地域。現在の高梁(たかはし)市域の西半に相当する。古くは「河上」とも書いた。[三] 北海道北東部、釧路支庁の郡。釧路川の中・上流域を占る。明治二年(一八六九)釧路国の一郡として成立。[補注](一)の挙例「万葉‐八五四」の、「かはかみ」は、川のほとりの意とする説もある。
