Coxless pairs was scheduled to be included in the Olympic Games at the first Athens Games in 1896, but was canceled due to bad weather. It was introduced at the Paris Games in 1900, and six women's events were added at the Montreal Games in 1976. The United States has won the most championships, followed closely by Germany, New Zealand, the Netherlands, the Soviet Union (now Russia), and Canada. …
