Kajinami River

Kajinami River

...Population: 4,132 (1995). The town stretches from north to south and occupies the headwaters of the Kajinami River, a tributary of the Yoshii River. The town is surrounded by lowlands along the river and mountainous areas of the Chugoku Mountains. Agriculture and forestry are the main industries, and the Kajinami area in the north is one of the prefecture's leading forestry areas, producing chestnuts, shiitake mushrooms, and mitsumata, and is home to a lumber mill.
