Fruit liqueur - Kajitsurikyuru

...Fruit-based brewed alcohol. It is made by fermenting the juice extracted from squeezed fruit, and this is the original fruit liquor, but in Japan, fruit liqueurs such as plum wine, which are made by soaking fruit in shochu or other alcoholic beverages and extracting the fruit's flavor without fermenting it, are also called fruit liquor. However, the Liquor Tax Act distinguishes between original fruit liquor and fruit liqueur, which are called liqueur.
