…From the late 1940s to the 1960s, the Hassna site was famous as the oldest agricultural village site in the region, but many materials from a period parallel to the lowest Ia period, for which only fragmentary materials were available, were excavated here. The site is 100m x 85m, and the cultural layer is about 4m thick. It was excavated four times in total between 1971 and 1974, led by D. Kirkbride.
