The number of lines that make up a name. Also called strokes. The number of lines or dots that are created when you put the brush down to start writing and then lift it again is counted as 1 stroke, 2 strokes, etc. The order in which the strokes are arranged is called the stroke order. It is said to be the most important factor to take into consideration when fortune-telling a name. Source : Academy of Divination School About the Divination Glossary |
