Guo Zi Xuan - Hidden Gen

…A thinker from the Western Jin Dynasty in China. His pen name was Zi Xuan. He was from Henan (Luoyang, Henan Province). In the latter half of his life, he wielded great influence in the political world as the chief clerk of Sima Yue (King of Donghai). In his writings, Commentaries on the Zhuangzi, he reorganized the original 52 chapters of the Zhuangzi into 33 chapters, deepening his own unique interpretation of thought. He believed that the fulfillment of all things is found in the self-realization of one's nature, which is infinitely adapted to one's circumstances, and that the current situation as it is is self-sufficient. He recognized the hierarchical order of the time as the law of heaven, and developed a theory of the Meikyo (nature) that teaches that the rites and religions of society are natural and inaction. …
