Huoshan - Kakuzan

A mountain in the western part of Anhui Province, China. It borders the Dabie Mountains to the northwest and splits into two hills to the northeast. One lies south of Chaohu Lake and is called Beixian Mountain, while the other lies north of the lake and stretches to the east of Jiashan County. Its main peak, Baimasen (1,774 meters), is in the south of Huoshan County. Huoshan runs from northeast to southwest, twisting the direction of the Dabie Mountains at almost a right angle. For this reason, it is also called the Huoshan Arc.

中国、安徽(あんき／アンホイ)省西部にある山。北西は大別(だいべつ／ターピエ)山脈に接し、北東は2筋の丘陵に分かれる。その一つは巣湖(そうこ／チャオフー)の南にあって北硤(ほくきょう)山とよばれ、他の一つは湖の北にあって嘉山(かざん)県の東にまで延びる。主峰白馬尖(はくばせん)（1774メートル）は霍山県の南にある。霍山は北東から南西に走り、大別山脈の向きをほとんど直角にねじ曲げた形となる。そのため霍山弧ともよばれる。
