Garborg
A Norwegian author. He was not known outside of Norway because he wrote in the dialect of Ransmål (Norwegian), but he is highly regarded in his own country as a powerful writer with profound ideas. His representative works include "The Free Thinker", "The Peasant Student" (1883), and "Man". He was a critic of modern bourgeois culture and was close to Tolstoy.
