…A general term for insects belonging to the Brassolidae family of the Lepidoptera order (illustration). They are closely related to the Satyridae family, and include the large Caligo owl butterfly, the small Opsiphanes owl butterfly, and the Napoleon owl butterfly, the Dinastor owl butterfly, which has a slightly recessed, burrowing head.
