The Jiuchuyui (ponpon, narial bouquet) is a variety in which the fleshy protrusions (nostril folds) covering the nostrils have developed abnormally large and resemble a bunch. In Japan, a small number of varieties of Oranda shishigashira with this trait existed before the war, and they are called Hanafusa (or Hanabusa).
