Chiropractic - chiropractic

A treatment method that aims to alleviate and cure symptoms of the human musculoskeletal system, particularly the spinal cord and various parts of the body, by adjusting them manually rather than using drugs or surgery. It aims to improve symptoms and physical function, enhance the body's natural healing powers, and promote health by reducing pain mainly by adjusting skeletal distortions, especially abnormalities in the spine, and by restoring the functions of the nervous system that control the body.

It was founded in 1895 by American DD Palmer (1845-1913). The word originates from the Greek and means "manual treatment." It involves applying impacts to the spine with the hands to correct abnormalities, restoring the narrowed intervertebral foramen between the vertebrae to normal, and also relieving nerve pressure to restore nerve function, correcting abnormalities in the function of the tissues and organs controlled by the spine. It is said that even the slightest "distortion" in the spine can cause the intervertebral foramen to deform, putting pressure on the nerves and blood vessels that enter and exit the foramen, causing abnormalities in the tissues and organs controlled by the foramen. The "distortion" referred to here refers to the misalignment of the vertebrae, but recent treatment trends have focused on correctly stretching abnormally tense muscles to correct their function.

Japanese:

D. Palmer(1845―1913)が1895年に創始した。
