[Ascariasis]
When humans are infected with roundworms, the larvae can invade the lungs and cause roundworm pneumonia. In particular, if a large number of roundworm eggs are ingested at once, the person may develop a fever from about the third day after infection, which gradually increases to a high fever, and symptoms such as headache, cough, phlegm, and difficulty breathing may appear.
