...It has a diameter of 8 to 10 km and an area of ​​about 80 km2 . The main peaks of Otake (Kita-dake, 1,117 m), Naka-dake (1,060 m), and Minami-dake (1,040 m) are in a series in the center of the island, and at the foot of the mountains there are numerous lava flows distributed as paravolcanoes, including the lava domes of Gongen-yama, Hikinodaira, and Haruta-yama, and the pumice cone of Nabe-yama.
