A reeling inspection is then carried out on the refined cocoons remaining after removing the defective cocoons from the cocoons available for inspection, and the raw silk yield ratio (the ratio of raw silk obtained from reeling a certain amount of cocoons), cocoon thread length (the length of cocoon thread obtained from one cocoon), and reeling rate (the number of cocoon threads cut during reeling) are inspected, and the cocoon grade is determined by combining the reeling rate, which affects the reeling value, and the cocoon thread length, which affects the quality value. The grades are divided into five grades, from top to bottom: excellent, first, second, third, and fourth....
