Lake, K. (English spelling) LakeK

In the Anglican Church, the Modern Churchmen's Union (MCU) was founded (1898) based on the Broad Church denomination, and the Modern Churchmen was published (1911). Led by H. Rashdall (1858-1924), WR Inge (1860-1954), and K. Lake (1872-1946), it modernized doctrine and liturgy in opposition to the fundamentalists, and influenced the later Oxford Movement. In German Protestantism, theology from Schleiermacher to K. Barth is broadly called modernist theology, but here liberal theology is the more common term.
