Swiss psychiatrist Jung called the type in which libido (psychic energy emanating from deep within) acts toward the outside world extroversion. Their attention and interest is directed toward objective phenomena around them, and they use that as a basis to determine their attitude. Their actions are directed by realistic matters, their thoughts are active, and their judgments are synthetic. Hysteria is an example of this type of neurosis.
