Navy Yard - Kaigunsho

A type of military training school for the Edo Shogunate. Established in July 1866 ( Keio 2 ) by reorganizing the Naval Training School, it taught navigation and warship operation techniques for Western-style steamships. *Kinrei Ko - Zenshu, 3, vol. 25, July 20, 1866 (Keio 2) "It has been ordered that the Naval Training School will cooperate with the Naval School from now on." 江戸幕府の軍事教練所の一種。慶応二年（一八六六）七月、軍艦操練所を改組して設立され、西洋式蒸気船による航海術、軍艦操縦法などを教授した。※禁令考‐前集・第三・巻二五・慶応二年（1866）七月二〇日「一御軍艦操練所之儀、以来海軍所と相唱候様被仰出候」
