...The Honda clan originated from the vicinity of the Ojin Mausoleum (present-day Habikino City), and became a powerful vassal of the shugo immediately after the Hatakeyama clan entered Kawachi during the late Northern and Southern Courts, and the clan served as magistrates for the Hatakeyama clan in Kyoto, and when Hatakeyama Yoshinari became the shugo of Yamashiro in 1455 (Kosho 1), Honda Yoshihide was appointed as the shugodai. Other Kawachi kokujin in the Middle Ages include the Kadoma clan, who produced magistrates for the Rokuhara Tandai and the Muromachi Shogunate, the Umafusa clan (currently originating from the Shimoumafusa area of ​​Kadoma City), who became the Yamashiro Gundai during the Muromachi period, the Tange clan, the Onchi clan (currently originating from Yao City), and the Kainosho clan.

The manors of the Muromachi period continued to exist relatively late compared to other provinces, since they were under the control of the honjo authorities, but on the whole they could not avoid dissolution.
