Oleomargarine
Also called oleo oil. An oil obtained by squeezing beef tallow at a temperature close to its melting point (40-50°C). Oil obtained by squeezing at an even lower temperature is called beef tallow oil. It was widely used as a margarine ingredient until edible hardened oils became widespread. The best quality oil, which is washed and refined with salt water, is for edible use. Others are used as industrial oils and fats, lubricants, etc. It is produced in large quantities in the United States and Australia.

オレオ油 oleo oilともいう。牛脂を融点 (40~50℃) 近くの温度で圧搾して得られた油。さらに低温で圧搾して得た油分を牛脂油という。マーガリン原料として食用硬化油が普及するまで多用された。食塩水で洗浄,精製した最も良質のものは食用とする。その他のものは工業用油脂原料や潤滑油などに用いる。アメリカ,オーストラリアに多く産する。
