〘Noun〙 A sect of Shinto. It was advocated by Jion Venerable Onko of Kokiji Temple in Kawachi Province (Osaka Prefecture) in the mid-Edo period. It has a background in esoteric Buddhism. It preaches that Shinto is nothing but the sincere heart of an individual and the righteous cause of the emperor and his subjects, and holds a unique ceremony called the Shinto Kanjo . 〘名〙 神道の一派。江戸中期、河内国(大阪府)高貴寺の慈雲尊者飲光(おんこう)が唱道。密教を背景としている。神道は一個の赤心(せきしん)、君臣の大義だけであると説き、神道灌頂(かんじょう)という独特の行事をする。
