…Italian poet. He showed signs of mental instability from his early teens, and from 1907 he traveled around Italy, Switzerland, France, and South America, working various jobs. After returning to Italy via Odessa and Belgium, he self-published the only collection of poems published during his lifetime, “The Song of Orpheus,” in 1914. In 1918 he was committed to a psychiatric hospital, where he remained until his death. …
