Vaginal discharge

Japanese: おりもの

Written in kanji, it means "downstream." It refers to secretions that "come down" from the uterus and vagina. It is also called "leucorrhea." During the early and late stages of pregnancy, secretions increase due to the influence of hormones.

漢字で書くと「下り物」。子宮や腟から｢下りてくる」分泌物をいいます。「帯下（こしけ）」ともいいます。妊娠初期と末期には、ホルモンの影響で分泌も増えます。
