Nobushige Oyamada

Japanese: 小山田信茂 - おやまだ のぶしげ
Nobushige Oyamada
1539-1582 A military commander from the Sengoku to Oda-Toyotomi period.
Born in 1558. Son of Oyamada Dewa no Kami Nobuari. In 15521, he succeeded his father as lord of Tanimura Castle in Tsuru County, Kai (Yamanashi Prefecture). He was one of Takeda Shingen's negotiators and was a skilled fighter. He betrayed Takeda Katsuyori when he was destroyed, but was killed by Oda Nobunaga at Kofu Zenkoji Temple on March 24, 1581. He was 44 years old. His nickname was Yasaburo.

天文(てんぶん)8年生まれ。小山田出羽守(でわのかみ)信有の子。天文21年父の死で甲斐(かい)(山梨県)都留郡(つるぐん)谷村城主をつぐ。武田信玄の談合衆のひとりで,戦い上手でもあった。武田勝頼の滅亡のときうらぎったが,天正(てんしょう)10年3月24日織田信長に甲府善光寺で殺された。44歳。通称は弥三郎。
