Born in 1558. Son of Oyamada Dewa no Kami Nobuari. In 15521, he succeeded his father as lord of Tanimura Castle in Tsuru County, Kai (Yamanashi Prefecture). He was one of Takeda Shingen's negotiators and was a skilled fighter. He betrayed Takeda Katsuyori when he was destroyed, but was killed by Oda Nobunaga at Kofu Zenkoji Temple on March 24, 1581.
