… Guardian deity [Naoe Koji]
[Korea]
In Korean, the guardian deity of a house (called "jipto") is generally called "toju" (parent) or "op", and is often worshiped on a platform called "chandeokdae" where jars of kimchi and seasonings are placed, or in a small jar containing grains in a corner of the backyard, covered with straw. There is no specific festival day, but offerings are made on an auspicious day in October during the Antaku and Koso rituals to pray for peace within the home.
