[Established by] National University Corporation Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine [Background and history] Obihiro Higher Veterinary School was established in April 1941. In April 1944, it was renamed Obihiro Veterinary and Livestock College. In April 1946, it was renamed Obihiro Agricultural College. In May 1949, Obihiro Agricultural College was incorporated to form Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. In April 2004, it became a National University Corporation, Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.
[Marks] The school emblem regulations were established in 2006. The color is dark green. It has an oak leaf motif, and the two characters for "university" are written in the center.

［設置者］国立大学法人帯広畜産大学
［沿革・歴史］1941(昭和16)年4月、帯広高等獣医学校を創立。1944(昭和19)年4月、帯広獣医畜産専門学校と改称。1946(昭和21)年4月、帯広農業専門学校と改称。1949(昭和24)年5月、帯広農業専門学校を包括し、帯広畜産大学を設置。2004(平成16)年4月、国立大学法人帯広畜産大学となる。
［マーク類］2006(平成18)年、校章規則が定められた。色彩は濃緑色。柏の葉をモチーフにしたもので、中央に「大学」の2文字があしらわれている。
