Ono Sanso - Ono Sanso

…Sekizan Zen Temple in Shugakuin is a shrine where Jikaku Daishi Ennin invited Taizan Fukun, and is a branch temple of Enryakuji Temple. Formerly the Ono Mountain Villa in Minamifuchi Nenmei, there is a mountain trail from Ichijoji to Mount Hiei called Kirarazaka, and this area is called Nishisakamoto and often appears in war tales. In the Tale of Genji, it is beautifully depicted in the Yūgiri chapter as the place where Ochibamiya, who lost his wife Kashiwagi, lived in seclusion, and the poem by General Yūgiri, who visited the villa, includes the following: “I have come to the remote Shinohara of Ono, and I am afraid I cannot speak.” …
