...There are many types of each. For boats that handle long ropes, such as tuna long line boats, line casters (which cast the main line while sailing), line haulers (which haul up the line), auto reels, and line winders (which handle and store the main line when hauling up) are used. In addition, winches and rope reels that reel in and take up various types of ropes are equipped on bottom trawlers and purse seine boats.
