Born on July 7, 1720. Studied under Matsudaira Kimiyama, became a professor at Meirindo, a school in Owari Nagoya domain, in 1783, and head of the school in 1791. He also served as president of the Keishukan, a historical compilation office. Died on March 24, 1792, at the age of 63. His given name was Yoshio, and his nickname was Teiyuki.
