As already mentioned, the Romance languages ​​originated from Latin, but the Latin from which they began was not the highly refined written language represented by Classical Latin, but the so-called "Vulgar Latin" used as the everyday spoken language of Romans and Romanized people. The gap between Written Latin and Vulgar Latin, which was not so significant before the Classical period (1st century BC to 2nd century AD), gradually grew larger as time went on, but it is believed that Vulgar Latin underwent roughly the same changes throughout Romania until the fall of the Western Roman Empire (476).
