An uninhabited island located about 0.1 km south of Cape Sata in Minamiosumi-cho, Kimotsuki-gun, Kagoshima Prefecture. During the Meiji period, a lighthouse designed by British engineer Brunton was erected on the island, but it was destroyed in a bombing raid at the end of the Pacific War. 鹿児島県肝属(きもつき)郡南大隅町、佐多岬の南約0.1kmに位置する無人島。明治期に、イギリス人技師ブラントンの設計による灯台が設置されたが、太平洋戦争末期に爆撃で破壊される。現在ある灯台は、1950年に建てなおされたもの。
