Onodera Temple (Osaka)

...Otori District has the Otori clan, Muraji, Tonorai clan, and Hachida clan, who have the same ancestry as the Nakatomi clan, Hachiji clan of Mozu family, one of the four families of Hachiji, Ishizu clan, who have the same ancestry, and Koshi clan and Hachida Yakushi, who are immigrant clans. Izumi District has the traditional powerful clans Kayanagi Akatanokami and Wake no Kimi, as well as the Karakuni clan, Sone clan, and Amaka no Omi, who have the same ancestry as the Mononobe clan, and Sakamoto no Omi, who have the same ancestry as the Ki clan and built the Zenjakuji temple with a Horyuji-style structure as his clan temple during the Asuka period. Hine District has prominent immigrant clans such as Hine no Miyatsuko, Kamimura no Omi, and Kogi no Omi. Gyoki was born in Iehara, Otori District, and was responsible for the construction of ponds such as Tsurutaike and the construction of Oono-ji temple, famous for its earthen pagoda. The Izumi Kansho Tax Register from 738 remains among the Shosoin documents, and is valuable in providing information about the state of local finances at the time, as well as the actual state and layout of the Shoso.

…大鳥郡には中臣氏と同祖伝承をもつ大鳥連（むらじ）･殿来連･蜂田連，土師四腹の一つ毛受（もず）腹の土師連や同祖の石津連，渡来氏族の古志連･蜂田薬師らがおり，和泉郡には伝統的豪族である茅渟県主や和気公のほか，物部氏と同祖伝承をもつ韓国（からくに）連･曾禰連･安幕（あまか）首ら，紀氏と同祖で飛鳥時代に法隆寺式伽藍の禅寂寺を氏寺として建立した坂本臣などがおり，日根郡には渡来氏族系統の日根造，上村主，近義（こぎ）首らの存在が目だっている。行基は大鳥郡内の家原で生まれ，鶴田池などの池の造営や土塔で有名な大野寺の建立などを行っている。738年の《和泉監正税帳》が正倉院文書に遺存しており，当時の地方財政の状況や正倉の実態･配置などを知るうえで貴重である。…
