Nobuhide Oe

Oe Nobuhide was a representative kettle maker from the end of the Muromachi period, when porcelain was at its peak, and he has left us with the only kettle with a date inscription, the Pine and Plum Design True Kettle (inscribed 1517, Eisho 14), housed at the Nezu Museum. As time went on, casters moved to Ise, Echizen, and Banshu, and produced Ise Ashiya, Echizen Ashiya, and Banshu Ashiya....
