A student at Daigakuryo. He was a devout Buddhist and compiled documents on the inspiration of the relics of India, China, and Japan into the 30-volume "Datosho." In his later years, he became a monk. He was also an excellent calligrapher, and excelled in cursive writing. He passed away on October 15, the first year of the Nihei era.
