OS/2 - OS2

Japanese: OS/2 - オーエスツー
OS/2 - OS2
An operating system (OS) developed by IBM for 32-bit personal computers. It was initially developed jointly with Microsoft, but later became IBM's sole developer as Microsoft focused on Microsoft Windows. It supports LAN and database services. Its greatest feature is that it has 16 megabytes of memory space compared to MS-DOS's 640 kilobytes. This makes it possible to run large application software and run multiple software programs simultaneously (multitasking). It also provides multi-window services.
